The highest honor for China's anchors and TV hosts, the Golden Mic Awards, were given out in Beijing November 14. Hundreds of radio and TV presenters from around the nation attended the awards ceremony.

20 outstanding radio and TV programs and 20 hosts received awards this year. CCTV news commentator Zhang Quanling, children's program host Dong Hao, Beijing Television's talk show host Liu Wenyan won the "TV presenter award."

CCTV's 31-year-old prime time "News Broadcast," a CCTV charity evening gala for the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake and a news program reporting on the quake received the "excellent program award."

Zhu Xun, CCTV host, said, "It is the first time for me to receive the presenter award in the past ten years. The honor is a commitment to my efforts".

Lei Xiaoxue, who established her fame on the news program about the Sichuan Earthquake, says her award belongs to the whole crew.

The annual award is the highest honor among the country's media voices, and also a opportunity to review the big events of the year.
