Over 95 Forest Resources in China Under Strict Surveillance
Adjust font size:

A senior official says a forest resources surveillance network has been fundamentally established in China.

Deputy Director of the State Forestry Administration, Lei Jiafu, says the central government has designated 14 surveillance institutions across the country, covering over 95 percent of the total territory.

He says the Chinese government has reinforced its efforts to crack down on activities destroying forest resources. In addition, a resource management system has been set up.

There are currently around 17,000 personnel engaging in forest resources management and surveillance.
