China Cooperates in Environmental Protection
Adjust font size:

China's environmental protection record is coming under the spotlight as World Environment Day approaches on June 5. China has been actively cooperating with other countries, CRIENGLISH.com reported Wednesday.

And there is good news from the State Environmental Protection Administration.

China has been actively cooperating with other countries and keeping the international environment treaties it has signed.

The administration says China joined and completed negotiations on a dozen international environment treaties last year.

China has signed or extended cooperation memos on environmental protection technology with the United States, Canada, Egypt and Spain. A China-EU ministerial dialogue on environment policy has also been started.

The administration says by drawing experiences from developed countries, China has made its own laws, regulations, and standards for environmental protection.
