China has been putting its promises on wetland protection and ecological recovery into effect, since joining the International Convention on Wetlands in 1992.

 

An official with State Forestry Bureau says that China is working on new action plans and its protection efforts so far have been fruitful.

 

Last year the Convention gave China a Global Recognition Award for Wetlands Conservation and the Wise Use Award.
