Int'l Co-op Urged on Use of Renewable Energy

Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan on Monday said China is willing to strengthen its cooperation with other countries and international organizations in the utilization of renewable energy.

 

The vice-premier said China will make a better use of wind, solar and other renewable energy.

 

Zeng made the remarks during a meeting with officials from 22 countries and international organizations, including German Environment Minister Tuergen Trittin and European Union's Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas.

 

The officials are in Beijing for the 2005 Beijing International Renewable Energy Conference.

 

The vice-premier also met with jean-Paul Gut, executive president of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co., on Monday.
