A young man has caused a sensation in Shanghai recently – after wearing a full-body Iron Man-style suit to work one day.

On the morning of June 3, the 25-year-old Wang, a native of Shandong Province, carted the armor to the office with the help of his friends. Donning it near the entrance, he proceeded to tromp down the hallways, surprising onlookers.

"Everyone was shocked speechless," Wang later told reporters. "Many of them started snapping photos of me on their camera phones and uploading to blogs and sending to their friends immediately."

Wang's amusing adventure finally came to an end when building guards apprehended him and told him to extricate himself from his lumbering outerwear.

Disappointed but proud of the spectacle he'd already caused, Wang complied and slipped gingerly out of his foamware suit.

Wang said he's been working tirelessly on the suit for months since late February, just finishing it completely early this month. He said it weighs 50 kilograms and cost about 3,000 yuan ($463) to make.
