This comedy flick tells the story of a frustrated young engineer who embarks on an exciting and unexpected journey after encountering a mysterious American. The director focuses on a fast-changing city in China to show the pressures young people face.

"Inseparable" is the first movie in which Wu portrays a husband and acts alongside his onscreen wife, Gong, who is the offscreen wife of the film's director.

"There are some intimate shots in the film, but we didn't feel embarrassed even though my husband was directing on the scene," Gong said. "We are all professional actors."

The film will hit big screens nationwide on May 4.
