The finale of the second season of Maggie Q's thriller series "Nikita" is due to air in the US.

Nikita tells the story of a young woman who is framed for murder, sentenced to death, and then forced to become an assassin for a covert branch of the government after they fake her execution.

Maggie Q says fans are in for a few twists and turns as the season draws to a close.

She said, "what we're going to see from now until the end of the season is Nikita and her colleagues sort of working together to take down this threat but I think by the end of the season it's less about taking them down and more about the decision that needs to be made; which I think is going to surprise a lot of people."

Q is famous for the huge Asian TV hit 'House of the Dragon' in 1998.

Jackie Chan also saw potential in her acting work and went on to cast her in "Manhattan Midnight" and "Rush Hour 2."

Nikita airs Friday nights in the US.
