Poetic dance, splendid stage and gorgeous costumes help bring the touching love story in dance drama Goddess and the Dreamer, to life.

Scheduled to be staged in Guangzhou this weekend, it is an acclaimed production of Zhengzhou Song & Dance Theater from Henan province. The choreography focuses on the soft, floating movement of classical Chinese dance.

The ancient costumes and the stage decorated with traditional Chinese brick walls will take the audience back in time to the Three Kingdoms (AD 220-280) period.
