3D 'Rio 2' to hit Chinese screens on April 11

American 3D computer-animated film "Rio 2" is to hit Chinese screens next Friday on April 11.

The musical adventure-comedy film is the sequel to the 2011 computer-animated film Rio. The title Rio denotes the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, where the first film was set.

But most of the plot for Rio 2 takes place in the Amazon rainforest.

A number of stars including Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway voice the film.
