Two Chinese films nominated for Tiantan Awards

Two Chinese films have been nominated for the Tiantan Awards of the 4th Beijing International Film Festival to be held from Apr. 16 to 23, according to the list of nominations as announced by the festival's organizing committee on Mar. 27.

The two films are "The Grandmaster" by Wong Kar-wai, and "American Dreams in China" by Peter Chan.

A total of 15 films were nominated for the competition section which includes 10 categories: Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Visual Effects.

The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on the night of April 23.
