Film industrial elites to gather in Beijing

A sound number of the global film industrial elites will gather at the Film Magic•Beijing Forum to share their views on the industry's future development during the 4th Beijing International Film Festival, according to the film festival's organizing committee.

This year's Film Magic•Beijing Forum will feature three sessions: a Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum, the Forum on Film Creativity and the Summit on the Beauty of Film.

Celebrities to show up at the Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum on Apr. 17 include William Oliver Stone, famous American director; Alfonso Cuarón, Mexican film director; Christopher Dodd, president and CEO of Motion Picture Association of America; Frederick Huntsberry, Chief Operating Officer of Paramount Pictures; and Timur Bekmambetov, Russian director.

The Forum on Film Creativity will be held on Apr. 18 and shall explore ways to promote a creative film industry through collaboration. Guests invited include world-famous directors, producers and film creators such as Jean-Jacques Annaud, renowned French director; Peggy Chiao, Chinese film producer, professor and author; and Xue Xiaolu, Chinese film director.

The Summit on the Beauty of Film, themed "The Art and Techniques of Animated Films," will take place on Apr. 22. Those to be present at the summit include Peter Del Vecho, 2013 film "Frozen" producer; Sun Lijun, Chinese animation industry leader and dean of Beijing Film Academy Animation School; Peter Lord, British film producer; and Carlos Saldanh, Brazilian director of animated films.
