The Center for China and Globalization, one of the largest think tanks in China, released a report on Chinese enterprises going global in the current economic climate on Wednesday.
The blue book report, which includes over 1,300 case studies of outbound companies, provides an overview of the new globalization trends emerging among enterprises in China. Those trends include an increasing share of outbound investments, the emergence of private enterprises and the diversification of sectors.
The book provides valuable insight and guidance for Chinese companies looking to compete in the overseas market, said Long Yongtu, former chief negotiator of China’s accession to the World Trade Organization and the incumbent chairman of the Center for China and Globalization.
Outbound investment, projected over US$ 120 billion this year, will probably exceed inward investment in China for the first time in 2014, according to China’s Ministry of Commerce.
