Along with the box office success of the domestic romance "Tiny Times 4", its theme song "Time Boils the Rain" or Shi Jian Zhu Yv ("时间煮雨") in Chinese has also showed overwhelming oomph among fans of the series.

With the lyrics written by writer-turned-film director Guo Jingming, "Time Boils the Rain" has its melody composed by Liu Dajiang. However critics in the music industry have recently pointed out the theme song is suspected of plagiarism.

They argued "Time Boils the Rain" is similar to a song released in Singaporean singer Joi Chua's 2006 album Waiting For A Sunny Day or Deng Xia Yi Ge Qing Tian ("等下一个晴天") in Chinese.

When asked to comment on the recent plagiarism dispute, Guo Jingming said he is only held responsible for the genuine originality of the lyrics, adding that those who looked doubtful may go to the music composer.

The recent controversy which arose from this Tiny Times Series theme song has also grabbed public attention back again on the music copyright infringement issue.
