Pop singer-songwriter Li Yuchun opened her concert in Beijing's LeSport Center on Friday with four Chinese super models -- He Sui, Zhao Lei, He Cong and Liu Chang -- walking down the stage.

The first stop of her Growing Wild Tour, the show has attracted around 10,000 fans from around the country.

The 32-year-old performed nearly 30 songs from her 10 albums, including love ballads, dance beats like Magic Show and Dancing Indie Youth and the title song of her latest album, Growing Wild.

Dancers from the United States, Mexico and Spain backed her up during the show.

Addressing her fans at the show, Li said: "I have prepared for the tour for a long time and finally it starts. I am so excited.

"The tour starts from Beijing because the city means so much to me. I released my first album here, I had my first concert here and I experienced some of my happiest and saddest moments here."

Born and raised in Chengdu, in Sichuan province, Li rose to fame after winning the national singing competition TV show, Super Girl, in 2005.

A graduate of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Li is popular for her tomboy image.

In recent years, she has also starred in big-budget movies, such as Hong Kong director Tsui Hark's The Flying Swords of Dragon Gates, which also features Jet Li and Zhou Xun.

She has also collaborated with international fashion designers.

As the Asia ambassador of Gucci's watches and jewellery, Li wore five costumes during the show, which were jointly designed by Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele and American fashion designer Alexander Wang.

The Growing Wild Tour will feature shows in Shenzhen on Sep 24, Fuzhou on Oct 15, Nanjing on Nov 12 and Chongqing on Dec 10.
