As part of the "Happy Chinese New Year" program, the event is a series of arts and culture initiatives to introduce Chinese traditional and contemporary culture, and facilitate China-U.S. cultural exchanges and common understanding.

This year's program includes three main components: the public art education activities, the art exhibitions, and the celebratory activities. These events will run at New York's iconic culture venues and landmarks, with activities such as the Empire State Building Light Show, the Fireworks Spectacular on the Hudson River, the Lincoln Center Public Art Display, and the New York Philharmonic's Chinese New Year Concert and Gala.

The "Happy Chinese New Year" celebrations have brought festive culture as well as China's new achievements in culture and arts to the local residents, said Li Liyan, cultural counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in New York. He said he hopes the "Fantastic Art China" program can bring more happiness to the New Yorkers.
