New show puts Baigou on cultural map

Hebei province's Baigou town has recently launched a large-scale historical show Dream in Baigou to spice things up for its residents and visitors alike.
Directed by Liu Pei, a China Central Television director, the show features the town's unique culture resources and development over the years.
It is now available at the Baigou Planning Museum and fills a void in the town's night life, according to Shi Jinwen, a local official.
"The show presents Baigou from a good perspective and using modern stage techniques, and enables audience to feel the invariable warmth of the town," Shi says.
"It's an important step for Baigou's cultural tourism brand development."
The show played to packed audiences during Spring Festival.
