Virtuoso Chinese pianist Lang Lang will hold a charity dinner in New York to raise money for music education.

The annual Lang Lang & Friends Gala Concert Dinner, scheduled for Oct. 10 at the Cipriani Hall in Lower Manhattan, also celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation (LLIMF).

Lang Lang will lead the foundation's young pianists to perform at the star-studded celebration. The Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin will be the host.

The New York-based LLIMF was founded in 2008 and its mission is to educate, inspire and motivate the next generation of classical music lovers and performers.
