After years and years, worshiping the moon has become a custom in China as well as in several other Asian countries. The 15th day of the 8th lunar month has since become the Mid-Autumn Festival and usually falls in mid or late September according to the Gregorian calendar. Customs vary in different places, but they all show the people's pursuit for true love and a better life. Today, people usually spend time with their families, enjoy the full moon, eat moon cakes and fruits, and have a big dinner together on the evening of the festival.
