Spanish pantomime André and Dorine will be staged in Beijing's Longfu Theater on June 18 and 19, marking its 12th round of touring in China.

Inspired by French philosopher André Gorz's autobiographic novel, the wordless show portrays an old couple who deals with the wife's Alzheimer's by reminiscing about their past and finally regains their love for another.

"Love is sweet and exciting, but it fades away in everyday life. However, when Alzheimer's tears the everyday life apart, love regains its power," said Yuan Hong, who is in charge of the pantomime's licensing in China.

The romantic pantomime has toured in nearly 30 countries across the world including the United States, Britain and Russia. It made its Chinese mainland debut in 2011 and has since been staged more than 100 times.
