The National Museum of China has launched a postdoctoral workstation to breed more talents in museology and facilitate studies that serve its development.

Research areas of the workstation will include history, archaeology, museology and cultural relic preservation, announced the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on its website.

The rich academic resources of the national museum will be utilized, with leading experts working as supervisors at the workstation.

Research fellows will be encouraged to work in the fields that are "in line with the development of the museum," and to conduct quality studies that meet its demand, according to the ministry.

The National Museum of China, affiliated to the ministry, received over 8.6 million visitors in 2018.
