Walt Disney Pictures' new fantasy film Aladdin will arrive in Chinese theaters on Friday.

Directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Will Smith, the film is a live-action adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated film of the same name. The film tells the story of a kindhearted street urchin and his adventure with a magic lamp that has the power to make wishes come true.

The film has grossed over six million yuan (about 868,000 U.S. dollars) in presale at the Chinese mainland box office, according to Maoyan, a major Chinese film database.
