The book launch was held at Nanjing Library, east China's Jiangsu province, on June 11. The 108-volume edition, amounting to more than 40 million Chinese characters, is a systematic collection of various writings by Master Hsing Yun. The collection is a crystallization of his life's wisdom, and consists of 12 parts including his commentaries, lectures, biographies, letters and diaries.
Master Hsing Yun has devoted his life to promoting "Humanistic Buddhism." He has made a positive contribution to the inheritance and development of China's traditional culture as well as cross-Strait cultural exchanges. The new edition reflects his love for the country and its people, the promotion of peace for public good, and the consistent advocacy of kindness through words, conduct and thoughts. The publication is intended to spread positive energy and China's traditional culture to both sides of the Taiwan Strait and beyond.
