Outstanding Chinese singers and music pieces of the past 70 years in China will be honored at the "Chinese Golden Eagle Award" awarding ceremony during a music and cultural event in Ulanqab, north China's Inner Mongolia from Aug. 12 to 17, according to organizers of the event.

Touching moments during the seven decades since the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1949 will be depicted through music with the presence of renowned singers at the ceremony, which organizers say is dedicated to celebrating the PRC's 70th anniversary.

Besides the award ceremony, the six-day event, formally known as the "2019 Ulanqab Prairie Music & Culture Week," will also include a prairie electronic music party and a food festival.
