Famous British actor Tim Roth on Tuesday received the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award at the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) for his exceptional contribution to the art of film.

During his speech in front of some 3,000 visitors, Roth expressed his satisfaction of being for the first time at the festival.

"This is pretty cool. I am glad to be here tonight. I have seen a lot of warm hearts. I love you," Roth said.

Roth's acting talent was recognized by Quentin Tarantino, an American director, after which Roth was given international recognitions for "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction". His other credits include "Heart of Darkness", "Little Odessa", "Four Rooms" and "Funny Games".

Exposure in such films, both widely popular and cultish, has made the 58-year-old actor popular.

Roth starred in the 1995 adventure film "Rob Roy" which was ranked number two at the box office. Roth was nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category.

In his 37-year-long career, Roth starred in 106 movies and TV series.
