Namibian visual artist David Indongo will exhibit his artwork at the upcoming 8th Beijing International Art Biennale from August 30 to September 2 in China.

Indongo's artwork, which zooms into various social dynamics, including learning, marks his first international exhibition.

"The 8th Beijing International Art Biennale will serve as a great platform to promote my work, my country as well as its diversity," he said Tuesday.

The international platform will also accord him the opportunity to network with fellow artists, curators, and collectors of art, said Indongo.

"An international platform such as this one presents countless networking opportunities and exposure. I will be able to link up with thespians, experts and share experiences as well as best practices with fellow artists on how to improve our craft, and the fraternity at large," he added.

Meanwhile, the artist is set to depart for China towards the end of August.

Initiated in 2002, Beijing International Art Biennale has become a key international exchange platform in fine arts, attracting over 4,000 artists from more than 100 countries in the past, according to the event's website.
