"Dream Seeker," the first dance drama the Shenzhen Opera and Dance Theater has produced since it was established last year, will be staged at the Shenzhen Grand Theater from Nov. 21 to Nov. 25, according to a news conference of the Shenzhen government on Sept. 19.

The dance drama tells the story of Shenzhen's development since it became a special economic zone in 1979, and shows the Shenzhen people's hard work and pioneering spirit.

It is sponsored by the Shenzhen government to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the city.

Its production team includes several award-winning veteran experts, and its cast features some promising young actors and actresses.

Qian Qiang, deputy head of the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, said the drama is of strong Shenzhen style, and he hopes the audience can feel the artistic language that is unique to the city.
