Artists celebrate 70 years of China-Mongolia ties

A joint show marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia was produced and performed by Chinese and Mongolian artists was staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing on Dec 3. 

Under the baton of Mongolian conductor Buyanbaatar Namkhai, Mongolian musicians and dancers from Mongolian Grand Theater of National Art performed folk songs and dances of Mongolian ethnic group, featuring traditional Mongolian throat singing, or khoomei, and the long song, or urtiin duu, one of the most important forms of Mongolian music. 

A students' dance troupe of Beijing No.11 Middle School also shared the stage with Mongolian artists in the show.
