A Chinese Documentary Film Week opened at the University Library in Belgrade on Friday, together with an exhibition of works by young photographers.

The festival was launched with screening of two movies -- "Energy Legend" by Chai Yun about the culture of rapeseed oil in China, and "Twentieth Anniversary of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia" by Zhang Ying.

The screenings were followed by a debate, where documentary lovers talked with the films' producers about their works and asked questions.

Until Jan. 24, ten Chinese documentaries will be screened, including "From Zhong Guo to China" by Zhu Yun, and "This is Me" by Liu Hongtao.

The two opening-night movies will be screened again at the conclusion of the festival.

Simultaneously, the library hosts the 2020 edition of the Sino-Serbia Youth Photography Festival, which is open until Feb. 3.

Both events are organized by the Association for Educational Exchange between China and Serbia.
