The online movie screenings of the Beijing International Film Festival are set to close with Oscar-winning drama film Bombshell on Tuesday, according to the film festival's organizer.

Starring Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, Bombshell won the 2020 Oscar for achievement in makeup and hairstyling. It follows a group of women who take on Fox News head Roger Ailes and expose a culture of harassment in the newsroom.

The Beijing International Film Festival moved this year's movie screenings online amid the country's battle against the novel coronavirus.

Running on video platform iQiyi from May 1 to 5 under the title "Spring Online Screenings," the screenings opened with Oscar-winning film Marriage Story and will feature a total of 32 films.

Written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach, Marriage Story is referred to as an incisive and compassionate look at a marriage coming apart and a family staying together. It stars Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver.

Originally scheduled from April 19 to 26, the 10th Beijing International Film Festival had been postponed because of the coronavirus epidemic.
