Peking opera artist Shi Yihong presented a special performance with autistic children on Sept 19 at the exhibition hall of the Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House.

The group comprised a dozen children from the Angel's Voice Salon, an institution for autistic children that was founded in 2009.

During the concert, which was performed for the children's parents, the group sang an ancient Chinese poem in Peking opera style.

The children also visited the exhibition about Peking opera and lianhuanhua, a Chinese form of picture-story books, before trying their hands at the art form.
