An encyclopedia recording the development of Chinese material civilization since ancient times is scheduled to be published in October 2021.
The 50-volume publication covers the development of Chinese astronomy and geography, and knowledge about fishing, hunting, agriculture, architecture, transportation, handicraft art, as well as folk customs and etiquette, said Wang Chunfa, director of the editorial board of the publication and curator of the National Museum of China.
More than 80,000 entries and 20,000-odd illustrations are expected to be included in the encyclopedia, Wang added.
