Chinese movie "My People, My Homeland" led the Chinese mainland box office Wednesday, raking in about 17.75 million yuan (about 2.6 million U.S. dollars) on its 21st day of screening, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Thursday.

The movie depicts five different stories about people's love for their homeland. Its general executive producer was Zhang Yimou, one of China's best-known filmmakers.

It was followed by "The Story of Xi Bao," which grossed over 7.2 million yuan, accounting for nearly 16 percent of the daily total, with its total box office revenue exceeding 73 million yuan.

Chinese comedy film "Coffee or Tea?" ranked third with ticket sales of about 5.64 million yuan.
