The art of Tibetan knives prospers in Lhorong county, Tibet

Traditional handmade knives with handles made of yak horn and scabbards made from yak leather are popular among Tibetan people. Jiarizha village in Lhorong county established a handicraft cooperative and invested 400,000 yuan in its local knifemaking industry in 2017. The cooperative earned more than 700,000 yuan in 2019, greatly raising local villagers' incomes.
