More than 200 pieces of classic calligraphy by artists in China and South Korea are now on show at an exhibition in Beijing.

Wei Guangjun, an artist of calligraphy and seal engraving, and also one of the exhibition's curators, says the exhibition has been held for five consecutive years, and has become an important event of the cultural exchanges between the two countries.

He says the exhibition serves as a platform to carry on the traditions of hand writing as an art form and its diverse styles and also opens up the dialogues on the future of writing as an embodiment of cultures.

The exhibition runs through until Oct 30.
