Hu Xinlin, a postgraduate at AADTHU, created two groups of works, including the "Intertwined Memories" series, in which she uses copperplate prints to capture memories of her hometown, childhood, relationships, and other emotional expressions; and the "Now and Then" series, in which she uses woodcuts to record personal feelings in daily life.

Wen Zhongyan, her mentor and associate professor at AADTHU, introduced how the focus of the two series of works are completely different, but they are similar in that they capture Hu's real perceptions of art, life, and society in her study and practice over the years. "In the creation of 'Intertwined Memories' copperplate prints, she conducted in-depth exploration and practice of polychrome copperplate prints that were rarely seen in the past, while the 'Now and Then' handicraft book shares her own reflection and unique perspective. Through pictures and words, the works hark back to the original state of woodcut art."
