Crosstalk, or xiangsheng, is a folk genre of comic dialogue originated from North China during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is primarily performed orally in forms of speaking, imitating, teasing and singing. It is typically performed as a monologue, a dialogue between two performers, or a group act by multiple performers. Crosstalk is a very popular performing art rooted in folk life. The crosstalk Tongue Twisters combines the folk wordplay tongue twister with comic dialogue, in which multiple excerpts from classical tongue twisters are performed to show the stellar language skills of the performers.
