Anti-dumping Duty on Imported Dichloromethane to Expire
Adjust font size:

Chinese Ministry of Commerce on Thursday announced that its anti-dumping tax on dichloromethane imported from the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and the Republic of Korea is expected to expire in six months time.

According to Chinese anti-dumping regulations, domestic industries can still ask the Ministry of Commerce to re-investigate dichloromethane imports before the expiration date.

If such import still constitutes damage to domestic industries, the five-year anti-dumping period can be extended, the ministry said.

On Aug. 16, 2001, China began levying the anti-dumping tax on dichloromethane, so it is due to expire on Aug. 16, 2006.
