Standard Chartered China appoints chairman

Standard Chartered Bank announced the appointment of Jaspal Singh Bindra as chairman of the board yesterday.

Bindra will work with the board of Standard Chartered China to oversee the bank's compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, and to ensure that there is a sound system of internal control and risk management.
