China's stocks extended losses at midday Friday, heading for the fourth consecutive fall this week, after the key index slid to a 31-month low on Thursday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.58 percent to end the morning session at 2,317.96.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped by 0.65 percent to 9,732.79.
