Stocks open higher Wednesday on positive data

China's stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index moving up 0.35 percent to open at 2,512.59.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.32 percent higher at 10,575.18.
