Net profits of Chinese companies listed both in Shanghai and Shenzhen climbed more than 30 percent in 2010 from a year earlier, as all companies have released their annual reports till April 30.
China Shipbuilding Industry Co. (CSIC), the country's northern shipbuilding giant, said Saturday that its net profit last year rose 7.28 percent year on year to 1.599 billion yuan (about US$246 million).
China Eastern Airlines saw a 31.54 percent rise in net income in the first quarter of this year thanks to recovery in the global air transport market, while its domestic rival Air China reported a 23 percent fall.
