Samsung has unveiled its latest smartphone series, the "Galaxy A."

The new devices are the slimmest smartphones to-date.

There are two models of the new tablet-style phone being sold in China: the Galaxy A5 and A3.

The Galaxy A5, which is just 6.7-millimeters thin, retails for 26-hundred yuan.

The A3 model, which is slighly wider at 6.9-millimeters, is priced at just under 2-thousand yuan.

Samsung is targeting the ultra-slim phones at China's younger generation, as they're said to be optimized for social networking.

"I think the new phone will attract young customers, as it has a slim shape and an even better camera. Personally speaking, I think the camera in the back of the phone is average, but the front wide-angle camera is quite good."

Meanwhile, at Samsung's roll-out last night in Beijing, the company also unveiled a new Bluetooth necklace, named the Samsung "Gear Circle."
