The 5th Asian-European Business Innovation Congress (AEBIC) will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14, focusing on innovation in the food industry especially dealing with safety aspects, the organizers announced.

Guided by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, the principal aim of the AEBIC is to establish an interdisciplinary business interaction platform for industry representatives, government officials, the scientific community and society to consider issues of competitiveness in the rapidly-evolving globalized marketplace while maintaining a high standard of social responsibility.

The main objective this time is to explore new market trends, products, services and technological innovation in the food sector, ensuring food safety as new products continually appear in the marketplace.

Dr. Konstantin Schamber, chairman of the AEBIC Council and managing director of the German Center for Strategic Intercultural Communication GmbH, said: "The Congress will focus on important issues such as food safety, process optimization and industry development. Our main intention is to let recognized experts discuss latest developments as well as to find new forms of cooperation covering the entire ASEAN region".

The event will allow top executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals, investors, and academics to participate in practical expert-led workshops and exclusive business meetings with leading decision-makers.

AEBIC Bangkok, was created by the Center for Strategic Intercultural Communication GmbH and another German organization, the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation through its ASEAN Regional Office in Thailand. Co-organizers are the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Thailand, the National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI) Thailand, and the Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises – Mittelstand International. Among industry sponsors is Siemens Thailand.
