The three-day forum is expected to attract more than 1,000 influential business people from home and abroad, according to a press conference held last week in Shanghai.
"Transformed from the China Hotel Global Forum, China Cultural Tourism Global Forum has gone through 17 eventful years. We will stay true to our founding commitment and assume our obligations to forge ahead with the great mission of China's tourist industry, to ensure it keeps growing and prevailing," said Li Fugen, vice president of China Internet Information Center and spokesperson for the organizing committee of the 2018 forum.
The press conference also witnessed the establishment of a Shanghai branch of the Asia-Pacific Hotel Association.
