China's ride-hailing giant DiDi Chuxing Thursday took another city in Southwest China with a shared bike brand of its own as part of its latest market expansion moves, the Beijing News reported.

Users in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, now have the added convenience via a mobile app of Qingju in addition to ofo and Bluegogo, the two popular bike-sharing companies with which DiDi has been partnering over the past months.

No deposit is required for riding Qingju or Bluegogo bikes.

Earlier this month, DiDi announced it was taking over parts of Bluegogo's business, which had previously been in financial difficulties.

Under the deal, users also have the option of converting their deposits, privileges and top-up values with Bluegogo into DiDi bike and car ride coupons of an equivalent value.

DiDi launched its bike-sharing service platform last week, allowing users in Beijing and Shenzhen to ride shared bikes from Bluegogo and ofo.
