Leading U.S. electric car maker Tesla may cut the price on all of its models in China, according to reports on Chinese portal website 163.com on Tuesday.

According to an internal document of the company, all car models may be set for a price cut in the range of 40,000 yuan (US$6,283) to 90,000 yuan (US$14,137), apart from the MXP100D model, which could be reduced by over 90,000 yuan.

The move has not been officially confirmed by Tesla China.

Also on Tuesday, the Chinese Finance Ministry announced a tariff cut on passenger vehicles from 25 percent to 15 percent, starting July 1.
