The fourth China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo is being held in Ningbo, a coastal city in eastern China's Zhejiang province, from June 7 to 11.

According to Zhang Qianjiang, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Commerce Department, this year's expo will bring together representatives of more than 257 companies from the 16 Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC)—including Latvia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Speaking at a June 6 press conference held in Ningbo, Zhang highlighted the expo's growth, with the number of exhibitor booths having gone up by 30 since last year to 310, and with the event being held in an 8,400-square-meter exhibition hall, or 40 percent larger than previously.

The expo will feature 16 forums as well as exhibitions and cultural activities covering the fields of investment, cross-border e-commerce, customs, intelligent manufacturing technology, education and tourism, said Zhang. Different events will take place to facilitate communication among government department ministers, mayors, high-level talent and youths of China and CEEC, he added.

In addition to the expo, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial Government since 2014, Ningbo will also host the 20th China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium and the 17th China International Consumer Goods Fair during this year's expo.
