The Asia Pacific Cooperation Forum will, for the first time, be held on Sep. 26-28 in Chongqing -- the only municipality directly under the central government in western China, a key city along the Belt and Road routes, and a transport hub on the Yangtze River economic belt. The forum will provide opportunities for the development of China's real estate, hotels and cultural tourism under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Asia-Pacific Hotels Cooperation Forum, committed to promoting the sustainable development of the regional hotel industry and tourism economy, has been held in Boao, Hainan province, Shanghai and Singapore and The Chongqing session in September has drawn great attention and expectations from industry insiders.

The 2018 Asia-Pacific Hotels Cooperation Forum is organized by the Asia Pacific Hotel Association and the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce. About 600 people will attend the forum, including investors and operators from the fields of real estate, cultural tourism and hotel management, as well as service providers and suppliers from a series of industrial chains. Meanwhile, millions of people will interact and exchange views with each other online through the platforms of China.org.cn and Travel+Leisure – the forum's chief cooperative media partners.

The forum aims at providing an opportunity for participants to learn from and communicate with each other, a platform to conduct business cooperation, and a bridge to deepen friendship and contacts between investors and financers. It also aims to achieve the goal of "precise docking' between investors and managers, funds and projects, brands and capitals, talents and enterprises, products and sales channels. It will address the principal contradiction facing Chinese society, which has evolved to the one between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people's ever-growing needs for a better life.

The 2018 Cultural Tourism Supply-side Trade Fair (Autumn) will be held at the same time. The participating enterprises will be specially invited from developers, operators, service providers and suppliers in real estate, cultural tourism and hotels, involving project planning, orientation, location, research, design, construction, decoration, preparation, opening and implementation. Presently, the turnover of cooperative agreements to be signed at the trade fair has exceeded 10 billion yuan.

As consumption is upgrading, travel has become an indispensable part of life, with the credibility and net promoter score (NPS) becoming increasingly esteemed. The 2018 Asia-Pacific Hotels Cooperation Forum will release the "Entrip – Travel Rankings in Asia" (a public welfare ranking). The forum organizers will, in cooperation with China.org.cn, Travel+Leisure and Hotel College of Ctrip, create the "Travel Rankings in Asia" to provide travelers with professional guidance and reference in this regard.

As a public welfare ranking, the "Entrip-Travel Rankings in Asia" will, through public appraisals, experts' reviews and big data analysis, select the tourist destinations with the highest NPS in the Asia-Pacific region, including Top 100 hotels, Top 10 hotels [cities], Top 100 restaurants, Top 10 restaurants [cities], Top 20 cultural tourism towns, and top 20 homestays.

The selected units will be invited to attend the 2018 Asia-Pacific Hotels Cooperation Forum, the press conference of the "Entrip – Travel Rankings in Asia" and the awards ceremony for the most influential brands in Asia in 2018.

The press conference for the 2018 Asia-Pacific Hotels Cooperation Forum was held in the Shanghai EDITION hotel on Aug. 15.
