The 9th China (Taizhou) International Pharmaceutical Exposition, themed "building a healthy China and a famous pharmaceutical city," opened at the China Medical City Convention Center in Taizhou, Jiangsu province on Sept. 16, 2018. Sponsored by the Jiangsu provincial people's government, the fair attracted a total of 1,010 renowned Chinese and foreign enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions.
Two Nobel laureates attended the exposition: Israeli professor Ada E. Yonath, the 80-year-old Nobel laureate, also known as Madame Curie in Israel, and German scientist Thomas C. Südhof. Approximately 230 overseas enterprises including those from the United States, Israel, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea and Japan participated in the exhibition.
Twenty-two special events took place at the exhibition. The "Belt and Road" and the five BRICS countries' health industrial exchange conference, the China-Canada medical industry cooperation and development forum, and China's Taizhou and South Korea's Daejeon enterprise meeting were among the most popular with attendees.
The "International group and well-known domestic and foreign pharmaceutical enterprises" exhibition section highlighted a total of six sections, featuring innovative products from more than 230 leading foreign companies of 23 countries and regions, including Canada, the United Kingdom and France.
The International pharmaceutical exposition not only promotes the deep integration of scientific research capital, industrial capital and financial capital, but also opens a window for experts to assess the trends in the pharmaceutical industry, focus on cutting-edge technology, and interpret the latest policy and regulations.
